OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2010. In January-June 2010 the volume of investment in the capital stock in Moldova accounted for 3 billion 305,1 million leis, reducing by 3,6% as compared to the same period of 2009. As it was informed in the Ministry of Economy, according to the analysis, carried out by the Ministry on the bases of data of the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-June 2010 there was registered the revival of investment activity in Moldova.

In spite of the fact that the level of 2008 wasn’t reached, when the largest inflow of local and foreign investments in the country’s economy was registered, the rate of reduction of the volume of investment in the capital stock in January-June 2010 slowed down considerably as compared to January-June 2009 and I quarter of 2010. Only in II quarter of 2010 the situation in the sector became better, when the volume of investment in the capital stock stopped to reduce, totaling to 2,4 billion leis or by 2,8 time more than in I quarter of 2010 (880,4 million leis).

The main sources of financing of investment activity in Moldova in January-June 2010 were the own funds of economic entities and population (68,5% of the total amount, +6,7% as compared to the same period of 2009). At the same time, the investment at the expense of local public budgets increased by 2% as compared to the same period of 2009. The analysis of structure of deposits on the forms of ownership shows the growth of investment of public ownership enterprises by 2,9%, enterprises with foreign capital - by 10%, joint enterprises - by 7,9%.

At the same time, the largest reduction of investment activity was registered by the mixed ownership enterprises (public and private) - almost by 55% as compared to January-June 2009, and by local private ownership enterprises - by 13%. According to the Ministry of Economy, the fact that foreign investments as financing sources reduced, and investment of economic agents of foreign and mixed form of ownership increased, indicates of reinvestment of profit of owners.
