OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2010. Belarus’ OJSC Lidskoe Pivo brewery, based in the Grodno Region, reported a 12.8% increase in output to 3.21 million decaliters in January-July 2010, a representative in the administration of the company told.

In July, beer output amounted to 628,800 decaliters, up 21.6% on the year.

Beer offering in plastic bottles increased 10% to 2.498 million decaliters, in glass bottles increased 13.2% to 493,600 decaliters and in kegs rose 37.2% to 192,100 decaliters. Beer production in cans reached 26,500 decaliters.

Supplies to the domestic market went up 11.7% on the year to 2.950 million decaliters.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo exports amounted to 328,600 decaliters, up 140% on the year.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo accounted for 14.4% of the Belarusian beer output in January-July.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj in early October 2009 increased its shareholding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo to 87.85% from 51%.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers. It operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
