OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2010. Kazakhmys announced significant improvement of its financial indicators in the first half of 2010. EBIDTA (excluding special items) increased 87% if compared with the same last year period and made up USD1,342, reported the press-centre of KASE.

This result was achieved through prices for metals increase after the crisis prices drop on the market in the first half of 2009. An average price per ton of copper in the first half of 2010 made up USD6,981, i.e. by 73% higher than in the same period of 2009.

Favorable conditions on the metals market and successful production of the Group allowed achieving capital costs and implement in the full volume the largest corporate social programs of the country. Investments for regions social development for six months of 2010 by USD28 m higher if compared with the same period of 2010.
