OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2010.  Stroytransgaz was listed 95th in the category of 225 Top International Contractors of the recently published ranking by the international journal Engineering News Record.

Based on the results of the construction activity in 2009, Stroytransgaz was ranked 139th in the category of 225 Top Global Contractors of the ENR ranking.

Thus, in spite of its challenging financial situation, Stroytransgaz managed to improve the results in comparison with the previous year, and to remain the only Russian company participating in rankings of the international contractors. According to the results of the year 2008, Stroytransgaz was ranked 111th  and 141st   respectively.

In 2009, Stroytransgaz continued its international activity, improving quality of work under the existing projects as well as further expanding company’s global presence. The share of international projects in company’s revenues increased more than twofold compared to the year 2008, and reached 53%. At the same time, the total amount of contract work performed by the company in 2009 amounted to 42 billion rubles.

Last year was marked by the completion of the project of national significance in the Syrian Arab Republic – construction of country’s first gas processing plant. In Syria Stroytransgaz also completed the construction of the Arab gas pipeline. In Greece the implementation of several infrastructure projects under the program for the expansion of the gas distribution system was started. Stroytransgaz continued its work under the projects in Algeria, India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Finland.

In 2010, Stroytransgaz keeps on expanding its international presence. While paying particular attention to strengthening company’s position on the traditional markets of Middle East, North Africa, South and Central Asia, Stroytransgaz is actively participating in the tenders for new contracts in India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
