OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2010. KIOGE 2010, the 18th Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference, will take place on 6-9 October in Almaty.

The event is organised by the Kazakhstani exhibition company Iteca, part of ITE Group Plc (UK), with partners from Russia, Germany, Turkey, China and the UAE. Since its launch, KIOGE has featured, and been supported by, the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC National Company KazMunaiGas, Kazenergy Association, Almaty City Administration, and diplomatic missions of the participating countries.

In his letter of welcome to the exhibitors, Sauat Mynbayev, Kazakhstan’s Oil and Gas Minister, notes: “KIOGE 2010 once again invites domestic and international representatives of the oil and gas sector to participate, and remains a platform for the demonstration of innovative achievements in the oil and gas sector.”

The exhibition will feature around 500 companies from 30 countries. Over a thousand delegates are expected to take part in the conference. As of today, the following countries confirmed their participation with the national groups: Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Russia.

Every year, the conference in Almaty is attended by the heads of major Kazakhstani and international companies that are world leaders in the oil and gas market and hold leading positions in the Caspian region and Central Asia. To participate in KIOGE Conference 2010 are invited: Sauat Mybayev, Minister of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lyazzat Kiinov, Vice-Minister of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kayrgeldy Kabyldin, President of JSC National Company KazMunaiGas; Uzakbai Karabalin, General Director of the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas; Kanatbek Safinov, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan (title of paper: “The State and subsoil users: a dialogue about Kazakhstan’s content”); Angus Miller, Caspian Energy Adviser, British Foreign and Commonwealth Office; and many others.

KIOGE, which has been held since 1993, has long been the largest and leading trade show in the oil and gas sector in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The event is one of a number of important specialised events held in the CIS and worldwide.
