OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2010. The Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) consolidated two antimonopoly cases initiated against “No.28 Bakery Plant” OJSC, “No.24 Bakery Plant” CJSC , “No.22 Bakery Plant” CJSC, “PEKO” Bakery Plant” CJSC, “Cheryomushki” KBK” OJSC, “Proletarets” Bakery Plant” OJSC, “No.9 Bakery Plant” Federal State Unitary Enterprise, “Serebryany Bor” BKK” CJSC and “Schelkovo Khleb” CJSC, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 20th August 2010, the Moscow OFAS Russia initiated a case against “PEKO” Bakery Plant” CJSC, “Cheryomushki” KBK” OJSC, “Proletarets” Bakery Plant” OJSC, “No.9 Bakery Plant” Federal State Unitary Enterprise, “Serebryany Bor” BKK” CJSC and “Schelkovo Khleb” CJSC upon the signs of violating Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

On 13th July 2010, OFAS initiated a case against “No.28 Bakery Plant” OJSC, “No.24 Bakery Plant” CJSC and “No.22 Bakery Plant” CJSC for the signs of violating Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

These Moscow bakery plants are suspected in concerted actions resulted in fixing and maintaining prices on the market of bakery products.

Investigating the materials submitted by respondents, Moscow OFAS has suspended the case.

“No.3 Moscow Milling Works” OJSC and “Moscow Bakery Works” OJSC are brought in the proceedings as third parties.

“The case against bakery plants is rather complex” said Dmitry Tetyoshkin, Deputy Head of the Moscow OFAS Russia and the Head of its Analytical Department. “Thus, we had to postpone the final decision on the case in order to obtain additional information”.

The next case hearing is scheduled for 22nd September 2010.
