OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2010. Izhorskiye Zavody, a part of OMZ Group, has manufactured 2 hydrogenerator stator shells for Boguchanskaya and Sayano-Shushenskaya hydro power plants.

Each stator shell weights approximately 100 tons, has about 15 m in diameter and 4 m height.

The corresponding contract was signed with JSC Silovye Mashiny in December 2009. According to the terms of the contract, Izhorskiye Zavody are to manufacture 6 stator shells for the hydro power plants: 3 for Sayano-Shushenskaya power plant and 3 for Boguchanskaya power plant. The latest shipment includes the first stator shell for Boguchanskaya power plant and the second shell for Sayano-Shushenskaya power plant (the first one was shipped in April 2010).

The contract, to be completed in January 2011, also includes manufacturing of rotor frames, upper brackets and other equipment.
