OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2010. First time in the history of Ukrainian banking, assets of an Ukrainian bank have exceeded UAH100 billion.

PrivatBank informed that in the middle of August 2010 the Bank’s assets totalled UAH101.166 billon, the accretion comprised UAH15.1 billion to the volume of assets as at the end of 2009. In part, the assets' growth resulted from increase in interbank loans (by UAH3.849 billion) and swell in corporate loans – by UAH12.403 billion.

“Such volume of assets illustrates renewal of customers’ confidence in banking system as well as post-crisis market stabilization”, - noticed Alexander Dubilet, the Chairman of PrivatBank. – “Today bank starts to work actively both on real sector lending as well as on retail loans’ sector”.

PrivatBank is the biggest bank of Ukraine. Bank’s infrastructure includes 9’211ATMs and BASS-terminals, 54’486 POS-terminals, 3’112 branches and representative offices in Russia, Latvia, Georgia, Portugal, Italy and Cyprus.

According to results of GFK Ukraine's research, every third customer in the banking system of Ukraine takes advantages of PrivatBank's servicing and every fourth – considers PrivatBank as his/her main bank.
