OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2010. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during his visit to a private farm in the Gomel Region on Tuesday that he did not rule out privatization of farmlands, the press service of Lukashenko reported.

“To promote private farms in Belarus, it is planned to allot lands that are not used efficiently by state farms.”

“They will be able to do whatever they want, as long as they produce and sell goods – you may have lakes and 100-hectare land plots,” Lukashenko was quoted as saying.
