OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2010. Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) will increase on September 1 potash prices for Brazil and Southeast Asia, an official in the press service of company told.

Spot contract price for Asia will be raised to USD 405 per tonne of standard potassium chloride and USD 420 per tonne of granulated potash. In Brazil, larger importers will buy granulated potash at USD 410 per tonne, and smaller consumers, at USD 420 per tonne.

“The current increase is attributed to the growing demand for potash on the key market. The growth in demand exceeds our expectations,” BPC Spokesman Filipp Gritskov told.

Belarusian Potash Company was established in April 2005 to streamline potash exports.

Uralkali controls 50% in BPC, Belaruskali 45%, and Belarusian Railway 5%.
