OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2010. Finland’s Olvi Oyj has increased its stake in Belarus-based JSC Lidskoe Pivo to 91.58% from 87.85%, an official in the company told.

Olvi Oyj has acquired 2,829 shares at 675,000 Belarusian rubles (Br) each. The acquisition thus cost the concern 1.91 billion rubles.

Olvi Oyj now holds 69,225 shares of Lidskoe Pivo.

In July 2010, the Finnish concern agreed to buy shares belonging to minority shareholders.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj in September 2008 acquired a 51% holding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo through a private placing for an estimated USD 16 million. In 2009, Olvi Oyj increased its stake in the brewery to 87.85%.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers.
