OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2010. Belarus’ state-run Belaruskali potash maker has been transformed into an open joint-stock company with a 100% state stake, a source in the State Property Committee told.

Earlier, the producer was included in the list of organizations to be privatized in 2008-2010.

Belarus expects to sell a stake worth about USD 6-7 billion. Earlier, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said Belarus was in talks with Chinese investors over the possible sale.

Belaruskali employs 20,000 personnel.
