OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2010. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov met with the members of the Politburo of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China, Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangdong Province Wang Yang.

Mykola Azarov noted that he visited China many times and can say that in recent years, Chinese State has been dramatically modernised. "This experience is worth learning and worth to use it ... Three decades ago, China announced a "new course": openness and reform, and today's results are impressive this year - a new country appeared. We also set a task –to build a new country, to modernize the economy, to undertake the necessary reform of our society covering 10 years. This the President and the Government of Ukraine have declared implementing the reform program" - the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

Mykola Azarov noted that Ukraine has currently planned to enter the rapid economic development, and has been since 2012 to reach the level of approximately 10% of annual GDP growth.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, Ukraine launches a favourable investment climate in Europe. So, for next year we will significantly reduce tax rates, their number, simplify the tax system.

Mykola Azarov noted that Ukraine has a number of factors that can contribute to the rapid growth of the economy: the lowest taxes in Europe, well trained workforce, the availability of natural resources on the one hand and well developed with fertile agricultural land on the other hand, is extremely advantageous geographical location. "The combination of these factors allows us to create an optimal system of management of best conditions for economic development. Ukraine in addition has big plans and we need investment as we need air, we are destined to enter the high growth and build a new country" - the Prime Minister of Ukraine said and added that the visit of the Member of CPC Politburo Central Committee in Ukraine is considered as the important stage of deepening bilateral cooperation and as Chinese investment attraction to our country.

In his turn, the Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangdong Province Wang Yang noted that China regards Ukraine as an authoritative state in Europe and the CIS: "Your country has experienced a kind of political turmoil and the impact of the global financial crisis, but we believe that under the leadership of the President and the Prime Minister and the Government together and the people of Ukraine will overcome all difficulties on the way forward. We believe you create a new Ukraine."

As noted by Wang Yang, the turnover of the province he represents with Ukraine in 2008 was 1 billion 570 million dollars, and in 2009 - 890 million: "The turnover last year, though being reduced, but due to  Province exports reducing to Ukraine at 48.8%, and our imports from Ukraine in contrary increased by 42,2%. According to Politburo member of the CPC Central Committee, every effort should be made to bring the trade turnover between the states in 2012 to 10 billion dollars, as was announced during an official state visit to China of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich.

During the meeting the parties expressed interest in cooperation in investment, trade, economic, aerospace, infrastructure and scientific and technical spheres. In particular, the issue of railway construction from the capital to the "Borispol" airport was discussed, the contract is concluded for the implementation of the China Construction Corporation.
