OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2010. Skyscrapers in Moscow have the reinforced concrete frame (the twin towers that have been blown-up in New York in 2001 had the metal frame). So they can better withstand the various strongpressures and forces.

The Deputy Moscow mayor Vladimir Resin expressed such an opinion on Sept. 11.

"How skyscrapers in Moscow are protected from such a collapse as the twin towers in New York?" - the correspondent of our portal asked Vladimir Resin during his conversations with reporters near the Bolshoi Theater.

First Deputy Moscow Mayor, Head of Integrated Body for Urban Design Policy and Development of Moscow Vladimir Resin, answering this question, emphasized that the twin towers in New York had the metal frame but skyscrapers in Moscow have the reinforced concrete frame.

V.Resin also underlined that the reinforced concrete frame can better withstand the various strongpressures and forces and better protected from the fire.

"We have considered all that happened and now we are building according to the full safety from fire and other pressures. I believe that they are protected," - said V.Resin.
