OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2010. In August UTK completed construction of the telecommunications infrastructure used to organize wireless Internet access using Long-Term Evolution (LTE) technology at one of the main Olympic facilities in Sochi – the Roza Khutor alpine ski resort.

As part of this project, UTK laid the 1,200 m Alpika-Service – Roza-Khutor fiber-optic cable line. A 400 Mbps VPN channel is used to operate 2 LTE base stations at the facility.  Additionally, a 10 Mbps channel is used to arrange the local network within the confines of the alpine ski resort for the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
