According to data collected by Russian domestic aviation market watchdog Transport Clearing House, UTair Aviation has emerged as the leader among domestic carriers for passenger volume on domestic routes from January to July this year. Over the first seven months of 2010 UTair has transported 2,340,673 individual passengers, 39.2% higher than for the same period of last year.

UTair leadership on domestic routes comes from its dynamic route network development, connecting flight opportunities at the airline’s largest hub at Vnukovo International Airport, its modern fleet of long-range and regional aircraft, flexible fares, high in flight and ground service quality, as well as one of the most generous frequent flyer loyalty programs in the industry. UTair jet aircraft and helicopters will log a total of 300,000 flight hours in 2010. More than 100 fixed wing aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes are involved in realizing airline operations. In 2010, the airline will serve more than 4.8 million passengers, 34% more than in 2009. Helicopter operations in Russia and eleven foreign countries are expected to see an annual increase of 3.8%.
