OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2010. MEGABANK, PJSC and JSC “Kharkovgorgaz” settled differences. Kharkov inhabitants again able to pay for gas at a single receipt of the Integral Clearing Center of the MEGABANK, PJSC. According to the Chairman of the Management Board Elena Zhukova the issue has been settled through the intervention of the Acting Kharkov city Mayor Gennadyi Kernes after Kharkov inhabitants started to complain largely to the inconvenience caused with paying for gas consumption, reported the press-centre of MEGABANK.

It was decided that the working conditions of the Bank and “Kharkovgorgaz” remain the same. As Elena Zhukova noted residents of the city are free to choose the form and place of payment. However many positive customer feedback and years of experience of the ICC (Integral Clearing Center) showed that the most convenient way for payers is to pay for all utility services over a single receipt in one of many payment acceptance outlets of the bank.

It will be recalled that MEGABANK stopped accepting payments for gas on a single receipt in Kharkov from September 1, 2010. Termination of service on payments receipt occurred on the initiative of the “Kharkovgorgaz" which demanded the revision of the contract with MEGABANK and reduction of the commission of the bank.

The management of the MEGABANK stated that a fee charging for receiving payments for gas is 5 times smaller than the optimal cost-effective level, and its further reduction would lead to loss-making activities of the ICC. During the negotiations with the management of "Kharkovgorgaz" representatives of MEGABANK gave reasons about the size of the costs incurred by "Kharkovgorgaz” if they decide to receipt and process payments independently. These costs would have been much higher than those the company had using the services of the MEGABANK. As the experience of ICC in different regions of Ukraine shows the level of payments from population using this system is much higher. In addition the system allows to achieve maximum transparency of payments and track the dynamics of consumers.
