OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2010. Belarus’ imports of hard drinks and wine decreased in January-July 2010 compared to the first seven months of 2009, according to preliminary customs statistics.

Imports of hard drinks decreased 31.8% on the year in the first seven months to 200,541 decaliters worth USD 13.213 million, down 27.1%.

Imports of hard drinks from Georgia fell 28.3% to 53,289 decaliters worth USD 2.494 million, down 30.8%, and from Moldova rose 33.9% to 62,033 decaliters worth USD 3.416 million, up 31.8%.

Imports from Ukraine fell 76.9% to USD 1.002 million, from Armenia fell 9.6% to USD 1.664 million, from the UK rose 26.5.2% to USD 1.473 million.

Imports of grape wines, including fortified wines fell 12.1% on the year in the period to 2.227 million decaliters worth USD 23.75 million, down 28.9%.

Imports from Moldova amounted to 1.733 million decaliters, down 19.4%, worth USD 16.028 million, down 32.6% in monetary terms. Imports from Ukraine went up 77.5% to 188,74 decaliters to the amount of USD 1.392 million, up 30.9%.
