OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2010. The Prime-Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov accompanied by the General Director of Rosatom State Corporation Sergey Kirienko made an official visit to Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Combine Open Joint Stock Company (part of TVEL, a fuel company of Rosatom).

During the visit the General Director of Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Combine (AECC) Alexander Belousov showed his guests isotope separation process and acquainted the guests with activities of the International Uranium Enrichment Center created on initiative of the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan.

Answering reporters’ questions Karim Massimov noted: “The International Uranium Enrichment Center is an international project in the field of nuclear energy that has been actively and successfully developing. Kazakhstan intends to continue his participation in certain projects implemented by Rosatom in the Russian Federation.”

Asked about his impressions after his visit to the combine, Karim Massimov said: “I am the first representative of the Government of Kazakhstan to visit Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Combine. I liked the company. Currently Russia is undoubtedly the world leader in uranium enrichment services and there is a great public interest to a company like AECC.”
