OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2010. The event will take place on 6-9 October in the pavilions of the Atakent Exhibition Center, and will present the full might of the domestic and global energy industry. Eurasian oil and gas giants, such as Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas, the Russian gas production and distribution company Gazprom, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) are currently preparing for taking part in KIOGE 2010. The exhibition will bring together around 500 companies from 30 countries. To date, the following countries have confirmed their participation with national pavilions: Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Russia and France.

Since its launch, KIOGE has been organised with the annual participation, and official support, of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC National Company KazMunaiGas, Kazenergy Association, Almaty City Administration and diplomatic missions of the participating countries. The event is organised by the Kazakhstani exhibition company Iteca and ITE Group (UK), with partners from Russia, Germany, Turkey, China and UAE.

The KIOGE conference traditionally receives more than a thousand delegates. Every year, the conference in Almaty is attended by the heads of major Kazakhstani and international companies that are world leaders in the oil and gas market and hold leading positions in the Caspian region and Central Asia. The following have confirmed their participation in the KIOGE 2010 conference: Sauat Mynbayev, Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan; Lyazzat Kiinov, Vice-Minister of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kayrgeldy Kabyldin, Chairman of the Board of JSC National Company KazMunaiGas; Uzakbai Karabalin, General Director of the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas; Angus Miller, Caspian Energy Adviser, British Foreign and Commonwealth Office; Kenzhebek Ibrashev, General Director of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production; and many others.

From the very beginning, KazMunaiGas has taken part in, and provided official support for, the KIOGE exhibition and conference, conscious of its responsibility to develop the oil and gas industry, implement advanced technologies, adopt modern business standards, and ensure industry transparency and the overall economic upturn of the country,” says Mr Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Chairman of the Board of JSC National Company KazMunaiGas, in his welcome letter to the exhibitors at KIOGE 2010.

To date, 28 companies have confirmed their participation as KIOGE sponsors. Media support for KIOGE will be provided by 68 specialised publications and internet resources from various countries. KIOGE, which has been held since 1993, has long been the largest and leading trade show in the oil and gas sector in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The event is one of a number of important specialised events held in the CIS and worldwide.
