OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2010. In August of the running year, the aggregate amount of insurance compensations paid by ROSNO for the stolen vehicles insured with the company equalled 40,411,004 roubles. The largest payment was made by the company in the case of stealage of an excavator in the Belgorod Region, while, in Moscow, car stealers traditionally focused on premium-class cars, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The excavator KOMATSU PC300-7, manufactured in 2008 and insured with ROSNO, had been stolen from the open pit area in the Belgorod Region. The insurance compensation paid to the owner, a legal entity, equalled 4,669,890 roubles.

In Moscow, August’s largest insurance compensations were paid to private clients — owners of premium-class cars. For example, 2,988,282 roubles were paid for the BMW M5, manufactured in 2005, stolen from near a residential building on Kuntsevskaya Street. In another case, the owner of the Lexus LX 570, manufactured in 2008, stolen from inside the fenced summer residence area in Dmitrovsky district, the Moscow Region, received an insurance compensation of 2,867,203 roubles. Quite notably, the insured Lexus had been equipped with an antitheft system, though it had not prevented the thieves from successfully stealing the vehicle in the nighttime, after having disassembled one of the fencing sections. Another owner of an expensive car, BMW X5, manufactured in 2007, which had been stolen from the courthouse of a residential building on Leninsky Avenue, received an insurance compensation from ROSNO in the amount of 2,812,793 roubles.
