OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2010. Sviaz-Bank acted as paying agent authorized by VolgaTelecom OJSC to pay interest on the sixteenth coupon of the company’s Series VT-4 bonds, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

The bondholders were paid coupon interest at a rate of 12% per annum, or 29 rubles 92 kopecks per bond. The total amount of coupon interest paid, upon deduction of the personal income tax by the issuer, ran up to 28,531,225 rubles 28 kopecks.

VolgaTelecom floated its seven-year Series VT-4 bonds on September 12, 2006 to raise 3 billion rubles.

VolgaTelecom OJSC is the biggest telecommunications company in the Volga area, providing a range of fixed telephone and cellular phone communications, and Internet and data transfer, television, and radio broadcasting services. Its network has 5.2 million telephones installed, 4.9 million of them actually in operation. The company’s broadband Internet services are accessed by over 900,000 users.
