OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2010. In July 2100, Latvia exported LVL 81.27 million (USD150 million) worth of timber. Overall, in the first seven months of the year 2010, Latvian exported LVL 462.3 million (USD 853 million) worth of timber, which is 53% more when compared to the first seven months of 2009, when LVL 302.6 million (USD 559 million) worth of timber was exported from Latvia, as The Baltic Course reported.

Sweden, Great Britain and Germany were the main export markets for Latvian timber. In the first seven months of the year, Latvia exported LVL 85.6 million (USD 158 million) worth of timber to Sweden (an 18.5% increase on last year), LVL 59 million (USD 109 million) to Great Britain (12.7% increase), and LVL 53.1 million (USD 98 million) to Germany (11.5% increase).
