OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2010. Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company JSC (KEGOC) informed Shygysenergotrade LLC that it is necessary to take measures relating to dept repayment for the first ten-day period of September 2010 amounting to KZT 35 mln. The total debt of Shygysenergotrade LLC to KEGOC as of 10 September 2010 makes KZT 182.0 mln.

Under preparation to the autumn and winter period of maximum loads the System Operator would like to draw attention of the power supplying organization of East Kazakhstan oblast to the fact that the tendency of dept growth for electricity transmission services via interregional networks and electricity generation-consumption balancing services shall not be admitted.

According to the concluded agreement, in case no measures are taken to repay debt, KEGOC retains the right to limit electricity transmission services rendered to Shygysenergotrade LLC by 50% (to 60 MW) from 12 noon (Astana time) on 17 September.  

Starting from the specified time Shygysenergotrade LLC is recommended to take measures on its own relating to decrease in the transmission and consumption amount to the specified value. Shygysenergotrade LLC is absolutely responsible for timely informing of consumers and possible consequences of transmission limiting. East Kazakhstan oblast and Semei akimats, a regional electricity distribution company (East Kazakhstan REK) and local generators are also aware of the current situation.
