OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2010. In Viytivtsi, Kmelnytsky region, ASTARTA set to work a new modern elevator operated by regional business unit Volochisk-Agro. The grain elevator started to clean and dry the newly harvested crops.

The elevator has a drying capacity of 50 tons of early grains per hour and a loading capacity of 1,000 tons per day. The storage capacity is 10,000 tons for silo storage and 8,000 tons of floor storage. Next year, the silo storage capacity will grow to 27,000 tons. Additionally, cleaned and dried crops can be stored in airproof polyethylene sleeves on the fields located next to the elevator.

Silo and drying equipment has been purchased from leading US producers under the Export credit insurance program of the US Export-Import Bank.

The just open elevator in Viytivtsi will provide for improving the efficiency of the crop segment at Volochisk-Agro and the whole Group, as well as developing crop trading in the Khmilnytsky region.
