OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2010. It is planned to equip all municipal transport means with GLONASS by late 2010, Alexander Ivanichev, head of Ryazan administration’s transport department, stated during the meeting of anti-terroristic commission last week.

GLONASS has been installed on 254 vehicles, with 74 still to be equipped by the end of the year. In addition, 283 commercial transport vehicles are equipped with GLONASS.

Real-time communication is maintained with the drivers. Anti-terroristic measures include reminding the passengers about the necessity to inform the driver about any suspicious item in the bus.
