OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. TATNEFT increases the efficiency of electronic trading expanding functionality tasks solved by the electronic trading platform of the Company. The electronic trading platform, which had previously operated in a pilot mode, was launched with application of a new interface with additional functionality in August this year, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

A new e-procurement system has been developed. Implementation of such activities enables to observe such basic principles of electronic procurement activity as openness, transparency and equal competitive opportunities for suppliers, the choice of a winner by the best economic aggregates (quality, delivery terms and price).

A tender commission of TATNEFT for logistics operates to ensure competency and efficiency of decision making during the procurement procedures.

The steps taken in 2010 to improve the procurement activities helped to increase competition through increasing a number of suppliers of goods, works and services to the Company, which contributed to the improvement of quality and optimization of prices for purchased services, operations and products. To date, there are 2000 supplier companies registered in the framework of creating the electronic trading system for the procurement of material and technical resources for TATNEFT Group of Companies at the electronic trading platform.

854 tenders for acquisition of material resources have been arranged for the first 9 months of 2010 with delivery through Tatneftesnab Administration for the amount of 3,176 million rubles, including 297 successful tenders with lowering the price for the amount of 1,689 million rubles with savings amounting to 237 million rubles. In addition price quotations in the amount of 1,487 million rubles have been requested through the e-trading platform. It is mandatory that after the participants present the quotes with evaluation of the whole list of the lot, auctions are held for lowering prices. In such a way 98 additional successful electronic auctions of the second phase have been held from the beginning of the year.

Starting with the second half of 2010 practically all service subsidiaries of TATNEFT Group of Companies have been performing competitive procurement procedures through the electronic trading platform in the part of independent acquisitions. In future, the electronic trading platform should cover all the enterprises of TATNEFT Group of Companies.

In addition, 37 independent oil companies of Tatarstan have currently concluded an agreement to participate in the electronic trading system with Tatintek Management Company, which is an operator of the e-trading project.

To date, the Company's management assigns new tasks to the developers of the project, which will contribute to improving the analytical aspects of the "Trade-procurement platform of TATNEFT".

Tatintek Management Company was established in 2009 on the basis of NGDUs' production automation shops, and TatASUneft and TatAISneft Administrations.
