OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2010. Belarus’ fruit and vegetable juice imports increased 13.5% on the year in January-July 2010, to 17,796 tonnes worth USD 22.595 million, up 10.1 on the year in value terms, the Statistics Committee told.

Russian juice imports went up 8% on the year to 7,588 tonnes, which cost USD 8.23 million, an increase of 11.9%.

Imports from Ukraine rose 38.9% in January-July to 3,884 tonnes worth USD 3.004 million, a rise by 13.1%, and from Azerbaijan reached 171 tonnes, down 0.1%, worth USD 536,000, up 48.6%.

The main non-CIS suppliers were Israel with 3,596 tonnes, up 8.9%, worth USD 6.48 million, up 8.5%, and Brazil with 662.5 tonnes to the amount of USD 1.334.
