OREANDA-NEWS. October 05, 2010. The FGC is to invest RUB 17 bn in the development of electricity grid in Tomsk Region in 2012-2014. A relevant agreement was signed by the chairman of the FGC BoD, Oleg Budarin, and the governor of Tomsk Region, Victor Kress. In line with the contract, in 2010-2017, the FGC should commission 1871 MVA of transformer capacity in the region in 2010-2017, including 1336 MVA of newly built capacity and 535 MVA of upgraded capacity, and build 812 km of power lines.

In particular, next year, the FGC is to start building a 500 kV inter-system transit line between the united energy systems of the Urals and Siberia, 745 km in length, which is to run from the Tomsk GRES to the Nizhnevartovsk GRES via Parabel and the Sovetsko-Sosninskaya. In 2014, the FGC is to start the construction of the Tomsk GRES-Asino power line, 67 km in length.
