COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading integrated telecommunications operator in Russia and the CIS, announced launch of Disney Channel broadcast in TV packages of COMSTAR-Regions cable TV in the cities of presence in 24 regions of Russia*.

Disney Channel became available in Russia in August 10, 2010.  The new family channel lineup includes classic and modern Disney animation, television series for young audience "Hannah Montana”, “Wizards of Waverly Place”, “Prikoly na Peremenke” (Fun at Break) and many others. Additionally, TV-viewers are offered renowned feature-length theatrical, animation and television films, as well as TV-programs produced in Russia. Also, a special range of fun educational programs “Ugadayka” is targeted for the youngest viewers.

Dmitry Bagdasaryan, Deputy Director General, COMSTAR-Regions Commercial Director, pointed out: "We take a highly responsible approach for selection of family channels for our TV-packages, as they should not only entertain but also educate child and teenage audience. Starting from August, 10, 2010 Disney Channel is included into TV-packages of COMSTAR’s interactive digital TV in Moscow. The new TV-channel is also available in more than 30 cities in the networks of CJSC “Multiregion”, a part of MTS Group.
