OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) received a petition of “Mezhregionalnie Magostralnie Seti” Company” CJSC, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The subject of transaction is acquiring by “MRSK Centre” OJSC (location: 4/2, Glukhareyv Pereulok, Moscow, 129090, the Russian Federation; main activities – services for electric energy transmission) of 49% voting shares of “Yargorelektroset” OJSC (location: 37, Chaikovskogo St., Yaroslavl, 150000, the Russian Federation; main activities – services for electric energy transmission), which together with the shares already in possession of the buyer will reach 100% of the voting shares of “Yargorelektroset” OJSC.

Having considered the petition, FAS Russia concluded that the transaction in question may restrict competition.

Governed by Clause 2 Part 2 and Part 3 Article 33 of No.135-FZ Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” of 26th July 2006, the Federal Antimonopoly Service extended the period for petition consideration until 3rd December 2010 in order to be able to complete additional examination of the petition and obtain additional information as it ahs been established that the transaction in question can restrict competition.

Interested persons can submit information to the Federal Antimonopoly Service about possible effects of the transaction upon the state of competition.
