OREANDA-NEWS. October 08, 2010. OJSC Saratov Oil Refinery completed works for integration of an automated performance improvement system, which will considerably raise its production efficiency, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

“Integration of an automated performance improvement system is a major investment project in the field of information technologies, which implies creation of an integrated information system containing information on industrial processes, quality of products, and shipments. Implementation of this project will improve online control over the activities of the refinery, raise the quality of operational dispatch management, and substantially reduce the reporting and decision making time.

Currently, the performance improvement system is being tested. Its full-time operation will start on December 1. TNK-BP’s investments into implementation of this project has exceeded USD1 mln. The speed of decision making and online management of processes is important for improving the performance of the refinery, increasing its capitalization, and ensuring its safe operation. I am sure that our refinery will start developing faster after integration of this system. We live in the world of information technologies, and companies paying much attention to them are among leaders today,” said Alexander Romanov, General Director of OJSC Saratov Oil Refinery.
