OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. For the statistical purposes of the Foreign sector in the Central Bank, as well as adjustment of the balance of payments to the improvement of the methodological basis and Balance of Payments Manual 6-th Edition of the International Monetary Fund there was achieved technical agreement with the Swiss SECO on the technical assistance, reported the press-centre of CBA.

For this purpose, mission of an experienced expert of SECO, Dr.Anna Lennblad has begun from September 13. The mission will last till September 30. Within this period, the expert will train corresponding officers of the Statistical Department of the Central Bank, and will provide assistance on the issues of developing balance of payment in accordance with the new methodology, and classification of accounts. At the same time Dr.Lennblad will contribute in the development of a single methodology for the statistical classification of commercial and non-commercial goods.

During the mission, Dr. Lennblad will monitor the current state of the Financial Program created with her support at the Central Bank, and make recommendations on the strengthening, forecasting and analysis methodology. Also, the works connected with the completion of the “Matrix of the funds flow” and the framework for the “Forecasting of the Indicators of the Financial Stability” will be discussed.
