OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. Belarusian JSC  Gorodeya Sugar Refinery reported a 210% rise in profits in January-July 2010 from the same period in 2009 to51.5 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), the press service of the president said.

Return on sales reached 21%, and net profit amounted to 31.4 billion rubles.

In January-August, the refinery exported 32,200 tonnes of sugar to Russia, 17,900 tonnes to Ukraine, 17,700 tonnes to Kazakhstan. Other exports were to other CIS countries and Mongolia.

In 2009, the company launched a pressed sugar line. The refinery’s resource-saving processing solution saves up to 16% of power compared with other refineries of this kind.
