OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2010. A mission from the International Monetary Fund, headed by Thanos Arvanitis, is planning to visit Kyiv on November 3-15 to conduct the first review under Ukraine’s stand-by agreement, according to the IMF website.

Concorde Capital: we expect the review to be successful, and Ukraine to receive the second tranche of some USD 1.6 bln, of which USD 1 bln to go directly to the government in December. The first USD 1.9 bln tranche (USD 1 bln went directly to the government) was disbursed to Ukraine at the end of July. The total program size amounts to about USD 16 bln, to be disbursed in tranches until December 2012 (providing successful quarterly reviews and if called upon by Ukraine). Repayment of IMF debt principal will start from 2012.
