OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2010. Joint stock company Ust-Luga and Dredging International signed a memorandum of cooperation in solving technical issues on development of the water area of Ust-Luga Bay, the company's statement said. Yesterday (Oct. 20), the trade mission of the state agency Flanders Investment & Trade of the Ministry of Flanders (Belgium) met with the JSC Ust-Luga authorities in Ust-Luga port. The delegation was headed by Minister-President of Flanders, Mr. Chris Peters.

The guests visited the road and railway ferry complex and Belgian dredging vessel Lange Wapper. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ust-Luga Company Valery Izraylit told Mr. Peters, and other guests about the present day of the port of Ust-Luga and the prospects for its development. The two parties also discussed directions for cooperation between the Belgian company Dredging International  and Ust-Luga in the development of the port. The Belgian company’s deputy to the Regional Director Sofia Neyrink and Project Manager for the development of the port of Ust-Luga Hugo Sunnen made a presentation during the meeting.
