On Wednesday, Oct 20, the Ukraine stock market opened low but recovered by the end of the session with the UX adding 1.48% to end up at 1,817.00 ppt. The trade activity was high at UAH 109.3mn. All sectors closed with gains. Banks enjoyed 2.4% of growth with BAVL (+3.78%) having surged the most while USCB and FORM advanced 1.84% and 1.48%. Gencos rose 2.1% as CEEN (+2.57%) and ZAEN (+2.46%) were both highly demanded. Other sectors showed moderate growth ranging from 0.6% (steel makers) to 0.9% (railcar producers). Among individual names SGOK (-0. 4%) was the worst performer over the day. UTLM (-0.23%) and ALMK (-0.28%) also underperformed the market. On the foreign exchanges Regal surged 13.5% on the USD  3.53 while Agroton dropped 4.7%.
