OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2010. At its regular meeting yesterday the Supervisory Board received an overview of Estonia's current economic situation and development outlooks. In addition, the Supervisory Board was provided with an overview of Eesti Pank's preparations for joining the Eurosystem, reported the press-centre of Eesti Pank.

The Supervisory Board was also informed of this year's budget implementation.

In addition, the Supervisory Board approved the Internal Audit Department's amended statute.

The Supervisory Board appointed a working group from among its members to analyse the central bank's new and changing tasks related to the adoption of the euro. The working group is led by Toomas Varblane and its members are Enn Listra and Irene Kull. If necessary, the working group will also include external experts.

The next regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank will be held on 7 December 2010.
