OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2010. As an active player in the Ukrainian media market, SCM took part in the biggest international exhibition-conference on entertainment content market development.

MIPCOM, the world's biggest media related event, took place in Cannes on 4-8 October and addressed the issues of producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content. This year the conference running as Redefining the Entertainment Experience expressed brand new ideas about the content market on television and the Internet.

The conference-exhibition was attended by 4,000 media companies from the entire world. Yekaterina Lapshina, SCM Director of Media Business Development, represented the company having TV and online resources in the portfolio.

 “MIPCOM is the largest international media forum, which traditionally plays a big role in the global TV market. This year we could learn the latest content market trends of the European, American as well as less known Asian and Australian marketplaces. The event gives excellent opportunities to network, set and improve relations with content producers and players in the other markets. It is also a good chance to talk to current partners,” Ms Lapshina said. “Discussing the trends in multimedia, online practices and case studies was especially interesting. This is especially important for us today as a while ago we decided to establish a media group based on Ukraina TV channel, which will include TV channels and online projects of SCM.”
