OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2010. The Turkish company of information technologies and communication KocSistem started enterprise resource planning (ERP) software implementation at Petkim petrochemical company. On October 21, presentation of the project envisaging the transition of all work procedures of 22 enterprises, functioning at Petkim, to SAP-system was held at Aliagha complex.

The event was attended by SOCAR-Turcas CEO and member of Petkim Board of Directors Mr. Kenan Yavuz, Petkim Export Director Mr. Hayati Ozturk, member of Koc Holding Board of Directors Mr. Ali Koch, Director General of Koc Information Group Mr. Memet Nalbantoglu and other representatives of the company. According to SOCAR-Turcas CEO and member of Petkim Board of Directors Mr. Kenan Yavuz, works on ERP-system, started in August 2009, had been successfully completed. Mr. Yavuz pointed out that 35 representatives from KocSistem and 40 – from Petkim had worked over this project within 13 months.

Petkim has invested 7 million dollars in this project. This project envisages integration and operation of company’s all departments and functions in a single system. He noted that completion of one part of reconstruction works started in 2004 is good progress. “This project is the most comprehensive ERP project realised in Turkey with simultaneous joining of 12 modules to a single system”, - Petkim Director General Mr. Hayati Ozturk said.

He also noted that being the unique local manufacturer in the petrochemistry field, Petkim effectively benefits from every opportunities for rendering qualitative services to the clients. As he said, ERP system will play very important role in this connection. Director General of Koc Information Group Mr. Memet Nalbantoglu mentioned the further continuation of close cooperation between Petkim and KocSistem and expressed assurance that this cooperation will result in efficient consequences both for the companies and economy of Turkey and Azerbaijan in whole.
