OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2010. JSC Kherson Shipyard (Ukraine) has completed modernization and launched the Ro-Ro CONRO-TRADER ship to be delivered to a Georgian shipping company. The vessel is intended for transportation of rail cars and can carry 28 cars and 35 rail tank cars, the shipbuilder’s press service said.

The Ro-ro vessel upgrade project resulted in overhaul of the stern and midship body and formation of a new part of the hull. Ship dimensions: length - 109.04 m, beam - 22 m, freeboard - 7,7 m, maximum draft - 4,25 m, displacement - 6968 cub. m

Kherson Shipyard is located in southern Ukraine, at the mouth of the Dnieper River in the vicinity of the Black Sea. The shipyard is building river-going tankers of projects VEKA 125 and CT 707. Currently, the company has in its portfolio ship repair contracts for 14 vessels.
