OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2010. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 3.613 billion in January-August 2010, compared to a deficit of USD 3.494 billion in January-August 2009, according to the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 40.189 billion in January-August 2010, up 17.7% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services increased 19.3% to USD 18.288 billion, and imports increased 16.3% to USD 21.901 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 4.732 billion in the first eight months of the year (USD 15.441 billion of exports and USD 20.173 billion of imports), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 1.12 billion (USD 2.847 billion of exports and USD 1.728 billion of imports).
