OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2010. JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines acquired its 34th A320 plane manufactured by Airbus. The aircraft is named "S. Vavilov" in honor of Sergey Vavilov, a famous Soviet physicist, academician, founder of the physics school of optics in the USSR and president of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

Currently the company’s fleet is made up of 65 А319/320/321 planes.

The aircraft was acquired through operational leasing agreement signed in 2008. The lease holder is BOC Aviation (Ireland) Limited.

All the aircrafts are delivered right from the factory. The cabin layout is double-class seating 116 (А319), 140 (А320) и 170 (А321) passengers. Aeroflot utilizes Airbuses of А320 Family on European and domestic flights. Aeroflot is one of the world leaders in terms of performance reliability and factual logged flight hours per one aircraft.

The A320 aircraft is one of the best planes for medium range flights and it complies with all safety, reliability and passenger comfort requirements.
