OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2010. In 2011 Ukraine will reach the pre-crisis level of GDP. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper, who is in Ukraine on an official visit.

Mykola Azarov noted that the global economic crisis has caused significant damage to Ukraine, in particular, in 2009 our country has lost 15% of GDP and the budget deficit reached more than 16%. "This year we managed to reduce the budget deficit to 5%. There is a steady process of economic recovery, GDP growth is about 5%. We hope that next year will reach the pre-crisis level of GDP" - the Head of the Ukrainian Government said.

Mykola Azarov said that the Government reforms are directed at modernization of the national economy and the introduction of investment and innovative model of Ukraine. In particular, he said, tax reform in Ukraine will create Europe's most attractive investment climate and will be a catalyst for accelerated economic development of our country.
