OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2010. The Cabinet of Ministers took this decision at the meeting upon an initiative of the Ministry of Economy. According to Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmic, the citrus fruit were inscribed groundlessly, and to regulate the prices for medicines the government has already adopted a number of decisions.

Particularly, special Regulations on prices for medicines were approved in order to prevent selling of overpriced Moldavian and imported medicines and to establish tough control of pricing. These Regulations stipulate obligatory registration by the Ministry of Health of producer prices for medicines and their listing in the national catalogue of producer prices for medicines.

Earlier the list of socially significant goods, sold with limited trade markup, comprised 30 denominations of products, such as: milk and dairy products, sunflower oil, meat and meat products, fish, flour, bread and bakery products without food additives and admixtures, rice, buckwheat, cereals, sugar, tinned food and meat and vegetable products for infant food, juices and flour, vegetable and meat products for infant food, copybooks, cement, citrus fruit, medicines.

The limited trade margin for all products and goods, except medicines, shouldn’t exceed 20%. However, subsequently the government excluded from the list such products as: children footwear, detergents, construction materials (except cement), yogurts and bakery products with additives and admixtures, fish and fish products.
