OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) received a delegation of the World Bank, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In course of the meeting, the experts of the World Bank told about their current work towards preparing a research of export diversification of the Russian economy and analysis of the market regulation indicators for goods and services markets; and expressed their interest in the FAS Russia’s vision of those issues.

Deputy Head of FAS Russia Andrey Tsyganov told the experts of the World Bank about measures being undertaken by the Antimonopoly Service to reduce administrative barriers for business in the Russian Federation, particularly, preventing violations by the authorities. The experts of the World Bank also received information about achievements in supporting competition in the electric power industry, transportation sector and about development of the system of state procurement in the Russian Federation.

The parties agreed to continue interaction to prepare an objective report on competition development of competition in the Russian Federation, particularly, at the regional level.
