OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2010. The representatives of IDGC of North-West have taken part in All-Russia Seminar-Meeting “Preliminary results of tariff regulation in 2010 and tasks of the state regulatory authorities for 2011-2012”

Olga Makarova, Deputy General Director for Economy and Finance of IDGC of North-West; Svetlana Gorshkova, Director for Electric Power Transportation; Valentin Chesnokov, Chief of Tariff Formation Department; and representatives of the company’s branches have taken part in All-Russia Seminar-Meeting on the theme “Preliminary results of tariff regulation in 2010 and tasks of the state regulatory authorities for 2011-2012”

Key issue (among other issued discussed at the seminar) has become the energy efficiency problem. According to Deputy General Director of Russian Power Agency Alexey Poleshchuk, “energy intensity of Russian economy exceeds that of the world’s developed countries 2-3 times.”

According to Alexey Poleshchuk, “inclusion of energy efficiency increasing actions into tariffs, work with energy efficiency increase programs of governed entities, check-up of absence of duplication and correct division of the effect of the actions in the programs of governed entities and formation of power balances in order to reduce energy consumption” may become the instrument of energy efficiency increase. The theme was touched upon by other reporters, including the representatives of electric grid companies.

The Federal Tariff Service supported by the Krasnodar Territory Administration acted as arrangers of All-Russia Seminar-Meeting held on 11-12 October in Sochi.

The representatives of the Administration of the Russian Federation Government, Russian Federation Federal Assembly, federal ministries, services and agencies of the Russian Federation, administrations of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, heads of executive authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of state regulation of tariffs, representatives of constituent entities of natural monopolies, grid, energy and gas saving entities, electric power producers, guaranteeing suppliers, independent energy selling companies and expert entities participated in the meeting.
