OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2010. At SPAEP engineering company Deputy General Director of Rosatom State Corporation Alexander Lokshin held a meeting on the progress of introduction of 3D design at SPAEP.

The meeting was also attended by:

On the part of Rosatom State Corporation – Director of LNPP-2 construction program Sergey Onufriyenko;

On the part of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC – First Deputy General Director Vladimir Asmolov, Deputy General Director – Director for project engineering Alexander Polushkin and others;

On the part of SPAEP – Director Aleksey Kaydalov, First Deputy Director – Director for engineering Anatoly Molchanov, Director of Department of planning and design organization Sergey Yegorov and others, as well as representatives of Atomenergoproject OJSC, NIAEP OJSC, VNIIAES OJSC, OKB “GIDROPRESS”.

It was mentioned at the meeting that SPAEP was one of the first enterprises of the Russian nuclear power industry which started to use PDS system by Intergraph for 3D design. The PDS system was used, in particular, for creation of a 3D model of Tianwan NPP in China constructed according to SPAEP project and put into operation in 2007.

It was also noted that since 2006 the number of SmartPlant Enterprise system users in SPAEP had been growing rapidly. 4 years ago the number of the users was less than 20, but in 2010 — about 160 employees.

SPAEP also announced its plants for 2011 and beyond. New software is to be introduced: SmartPlant Reference Data, SmartPlant Materials, SmartPlant Construction. SmartPlant Instrumentation and SmartPlant Electrical are to be put into commercial operation. Besides, it’s planned to ensure integration with external software: Primavera, Catia and NX CAD.
