OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2010. North-West Telecom releases its business results for nine months of 2010 according to RAS.

The revenue was RUR 20,858 million, of which RUR 19,149 million, from communication services. It increased by 7.5%, as well as the revenue from communication services compared to the similar period of the last year.

The revenue from the Internet and data transmission services and revenue from local access were the main growth drivers. Compared to the similar period of the last year, it grew by 17.9% and 6.3%, respectively. In absolute figures, the revenue from the Internet and data transmission services for 9 months of 2010 were RUR 4,291 million, and from local access reached RUR 10,599 million.

The costs of North-West Telecom for 9 months of 2010 were RUR 18,045 million, it increased of 8.0% compared to the similar period of 2009.
Thus, North-West Telecom demonstrated a positive trend of earnings, which indicates the success of the Company’s marketing policy.  

The EBITDA* for 9 months of 2010 was RUR 9,887 million, which is 12.5% higher than in the similar period of the last year, with the EBITDA margin having increased by 2.1 pp to 47.4%. The net income of North-West Telecom for 9 months of 2010 was RUR 3,725 million, which is 18.4% higher than the result of 9 months of 2009.

The positive trend of the North-West Telecom business performances confirms the reasonability of the Company’s costs saving program, and the competence of the strategy aimed at a higher investment attractiveness of North-West Telecom.
