OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2010. The conference “New investment opportunities in Latvia – seeing is believing” takes place in London. To promote and facilitate export contacts, potential business partnerships and investment opportunities, Latvian entrepreneurs and specialists are going to introduce the current economical situation and the investment opportunities in Latvia as well as the most successful business projects in 2009 – 2010. The conference is organized by the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia (BCCL). Baltic International Bank for the second year supports the Conference and participates actively in it, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.

“Business environment both in Latvia and in Europe on the whole is of equal concern to us. Fostering greater synergy at a global level may prove conductive to economic rebound in many countries worldwide,” mentions Mrs. Ilona Gulchak, Chairperson of the Board of Baltic International Bank. “As the UK has always been and continues to be a stable partner for Latvia, at the same time being one of the major financial service markets for our bank, I consider our participation and support to the Conference as an honour and responsibility.”

“I believe we, as entrepreneurs, have to take part in the development of the business’ quality and capacity,” continues Mrs. Ilona Gulchak. “Mobilization of new investment and development of new businesses is essential for Latvia. Although foreign investors show renewed interest in Latvia, we still need to make certain steps to ensure the full-grown cooperation: provide relevant and timely information, offer new range of opportunities, and improve business environment and legislative base. This is also one of the goals of this Conference,” emphasizes the Chairperson of the Board of the Baltic International Bank.

Among the participants of the conference “New investment opportunities in Latvia – seeing is believing”, last year initiated by Baltic International Bank, are the following Latvian entrepreneurs and specialists: the President of the Bank of Latvia Mr.Ilmars Rimsevics, the Deputy Head of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia Maris Elerts, and the representatives of companies actively participating on the UK market.
